Speakers:

About First Lady Maureen Braun:

First Lady Maureen Braun has been married to Indiana Governor Mike Braun for 48 years. The couple has four adult children and seven grandchildren. Maureen is a long-time small business owner who knew at an early age she wanted to have her own store. She attended Indiana University, earning a business degree in 1976.  Post-college, she gained retail and buyer experience at Ann Taylor and Filene’s in Boston, Massachusetts. Strong roots eventually brought Maureen and Mike back to their hometown of Jasper, Indiana. In 1978, with lots of hard work and energy from Maureen and her family and friends, Maureen opened her own store, Finishing Touches, a home décor and gift store which continues to operate successfully to this day.

As First Lady, she will encourage more women entrepreneurs.

Maureen helped to establish Heart of Jasper, a non-profit modeled after Main Street America's national organization. She is active in promoting Jasper’s downtown, believing a city's downtown is the heart of any community. Through this board, they have improved building facades, public art, and retail occupancy in the newly renovated downtown.

Maureen is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was on the design committee for the church’s preservation and restoration. Her priorities are faith, family and community and she hopes to inspire those priorities in others as First Lady of Indiana.

About Michele Dieckmeyer:

Michele Dieckmeyer is the founder and heart behind Fringe & Form, an elevated women’s clothier and personal styling destination in Carmel City Center. Drawing from decades of experience in nursing leadership, mental health, and health and life sciences technology, Michele’s work has always centered on one thing: helping people thrive.
After 25 years in healthcare—where she led teams, shaped systems, and worked at the intersection of clinical care and innovation—Michele felt called to serve women in a new, more personal way. Her transition wasn’t a sudden shift, but a deeper response to a long-held belief: that confidence and well-being are powerfully connected, and what we wear can shape how we move through the world.
At Fringe & Form, Michele combines professional training from the International Style Coaching Institute with lived experience. Having personally dressed every size from 22 to 0, she understands the emotional rollercoaster women face with their wardrobes—and she’s made it her mission to change that.
Michele believes clothing isn’t just about looking good—it’s about feeling seen, expressing your unique self, and stepping into the best version of who you are. Her curated selection of high-quality, globally sourced pieces is designed to simplify decision-making, honor real bodies, and restore joy to getting dressed. She specializes in building unique capsule wardrobes around what women already have and love—helping them dress with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Her work is deeply inspired by her faith and her personal journey through adversity—overcoming teenage pregnancy, obesity, poverty, depression, breast implant illness, and the weight of navigating demanding work environments. Michele knows what it’s like to feel invisible—and she’s passionate about helping women rediscover their value, align their style with their identity, and dress with intention.
