About Nancy Chance:
Nancy S. Chance is the founder and executive Director of the Good Samaritan Network of Hamilton County, Fishers, Indiana.
Nancy has felt a driving passion and calling to care for people all of her life, focusing on prevention as well as remediation of life related problems (emergency and crisis-intervention) and maintaining a commitment to improving the overall quality of life for Hamilton County residents. She actually began the components for what would become the Good Samaritan Network (GSN) out of her home in 1980. GSN has expanded and grown significantly since that time including federal determination (501c3) status and ECFA recognition.
After 50 years in a medical laboratory career she now prioritizes her time coordinating the Good Samaritan Network in a seamless effort to serve Hamilton County residents with various social and human service agencies, food pantries, churches, schools and township trustees. The Network’s Direct and InDirect services actively assists 26,978 families in Hamilton County annually! She is a sought after speaker and consultant for many social and governmental agencies who assist in caring for the underserved.
Through Nancy’s leadership and vision Good Samaritan Network has expanded its capabilities and reach to serve the community with various human services, including acting as the fiscal agent for: Hamilton County Cancer Society, B.A.B.E. Store and Partnership For A Healthy Hamilton County (PHHC) – which represents the major area hospitals.
Beyond executing the affairs of the Good Samaritan Network, Nancy volunteers personally, assisting clients and various agencies. Unknowingly, you witness her involvement throughout Hamilton County by her vision, leadership and participation, including: Hamilton County Emergency Management, Habitat for Humanity, Noblesville Main Street, and a myriad of nonprofit organizations and agencies.
