Ribbon Cutting - Fieldgate Farm

Please join us for the ribbon cutting at Fieldgate Farm as we celebrate the completion of the historical 1860 Homestead and Barn which was reconstructed and brought to full restoration at Fieldgate Farm with a unique tri-party project with Indiana Landmarks and INDOT. This is a completion of the mitigation process of US 31 and 236th St which honors and preserves the history of rural Northern Hamilton County for generations to come.

The homestead holds historical significance in Hamilton County and was once the home of abolitionists and a stop on the Underground Railroad. Come learn about Northern Hamilton County history as you meander the farm, learn about the significant architecture, visit some of Fieldgate Farms’ gentle animals, and see the farm’s greenhouse that will be open for public events beginning in the spring of 2025 with a catering collaboration of Prime 47 Catering at Fieldgate Farm.

This is a wonderful opportunity to bring the whole family, they will have yard games, home and barn tours, and delicious food samples from Prime 47 Catering. They will offer a drawing for a gift certificate for an overnight stay at the Homestead to be redeemed during approved dates.

They kindly ask that guests arrive between 10:45am-11:00am, and to please park on the pavement on the north side of the greenhouse.
