More About Rebecca Stevens:

Stevens is an Indiana native who was born and raised on the east side of Indianapolis.  After spending 14 years in corporate America,  Stevens left her career in the corporate sector in May 2005 to join the Humane Society for Hamilton County as its Executive Director.  She believes animal welfare is her true “calling” and credits an American Bulldog named Maggie as the inspiration behind her move to HSHC.  (Maggie’s Story.)

Stevens has 27 years of business development and marketing experience in the specialized areas of strategic planning, fundraising, public relations, management, and building brands through the “story of telling.”  Before joining the Humane Society for Hamilton County,  Stevens served as Director of Marketing and Inside Sales for Carmel-based eGIX Inc., a national telecommunications provider.

Stevens holds her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Indiana State University and was valedictorian of Arlington High School in Indianapolis. Stevens currently lives in Fishers where she has resided for 21 years.
