Meet Our Panelists:
Nicole Pence Becker - Owner - Pence Media Group
Nicole is a 4-time Emmy and 3-time Telly Award winner with more than 15 years experience as a journalist, communications, media, social
media, and public relations expert. As Founder and CEO, Nicole started Pence Media Group in 2017 to disrupt the traditional consulting business model by organizing a group of experienced women consultants with rare and valuable skill sets who want to work and still put family first. Nicole’s vision for a modern organization powered by talented women (in many cases working moms) has significantly impacted our clients and community. Nicole’s style of leadership is to be helpful and encourage others to succeed, grow, and thrive. A proud Hoosier, Nicole grew up in Columbus, Indiana and graduated cum laude from DePauw University with majors in communication and Spanish. She went on to earn a Master’s of Public Affairs from SPEA at IUPUI. DePauw University honored Nicole as the 2020 Young Alumni of the Year. Nicole is a committed volunteer with Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana and Women for Riley. Nicole lives in Carmel with her husband Jason Becker, a 2004 DePauw alum and their sons Andrew (7), Colin (7), and Matthew (6) and Luke (2).
Chelsea Kopelman - Founder - Keeping Up in Carmel
Chelsea is the founder of the Keeping Up IN Carmel platform. She launched the @keepingupincarmel Instagram
account and website in August 2022. Keeping Up IN Carmel is designed to raise awareness for family-friendly local businesses and activities in the northern Indy suburbs to an audience of parents, grandparents, nannies, etc. that want to get out and have fun with their kids. Chelsea is a marketer by training with a marketing degree from Butler University. She worked as a brand marketer for Eli Lilly and Company until 2019 when she stepped away to be more present with her kids and explore entrepreneurial efforts. Currently—she works as the marketing director for a local wealth management firm, is a professional photographer with her small business Chelsea Kopelman Photography, and runs the Keeping Up in Carmel platform. Chelsea and her husband Peter have three small children - Crew (4), Roman (2), and their baby girl GiGi (2mo).
Larra Overton - Indianapolis Colts
Larra Overton appears across Colts media platforms as host, reporter and producer for the Indianapolis Colts and Colts Productions. She joined the team in 2019 after seven years at Fox59 and CBS 4. Larra has been recognized with six Emmy
Awards for her work as both a reporter and producer. In addition to her various roles with the Colts, Larra works as a track & field analyst and sideline reporter for ESPN, SEC Network and USA Track and Field. Larra made her reporting debut for the Big Ten Network in 2009, covering Indiana and Purdue football. Her career took her to WTWO in Terre Haute, IN as the weekend sports anchor and sports reporter, before moving to Indianapolis to work in various roles for the Indiana Pacers, Fox Sports and Fox59. A native of New Albany, Ind, Larra attended Indiana University, she was a captain on the Hoosiers’ track & field and cross country teams, competing in four NCAA Championships, earning Academic All-American honors and All-Big Ten honors. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and master’s in Sport Communication from IU, she began her broadcasting career as an associate producer at Fox41 in her hometown market of Louisville, Ky. Larra and her husband live in Indianapolis with their English Mastiff, Tugboat.
Moderated by Kathy Krusie the Chief Administrative Officer of Community Physician Network
Kathy Krusie currently serves as Chief Administrative Officer of Community Physician Network, the provider enterprise of Community Health Network which includes over 1300 providers. Community Health Network is a $3B non-profit integrated health system with more than 200 sites of care throughout Central Indiana.
Prior to assuming her current role in December 2018, Krusie served as President of the North Region of Community Health Network in Indianapolis. She has held executive leadership positions in healthcare systems for over 25 years, including CEO of St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan, Texas, and Senior VP of Operations at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Kathy is a native of Monticello, Iowa, and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Iowa. She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives; as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the Center for Performing Arts, the OneZone Chamber of Commerce, the Jane Pauley Community Health Center, and the Fishers Rotary Club. Krusie and her husband, Steve, have two grown children, one grandchild, and a very spoiled mini-Golden Doodle.
