Mark Mitchell returning to Indiana with KSM Location Advisors

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – June X, 2020 – National site selection firm KSM Location Advisors, part of the Katz, Sapper & Miller (KSM) Network, announced Mark Mitchell as its new president.  Mitchell brings over 25 years’ experience with a focus on negotiating tax incentives for state and local governments.

Mitchell will partner with KSM Location Advisors CEO Katie Culp to work closely with companies across the country during the site selection process.  The two will lead the team in identifying available sites, providing comparative analysis of qualified locations, and assisting in negotiating and securing economic development incentives.

“Knowing from firsthand experience that Mark is one of the top economic development talents in the country, I am thrilled to be working with him again as his career has come full-circle with his return to an Indiana-based company,” said Culp. “His experience and knowledge of multiple markets across the country will help to elevate our team’s capabilities and network.”

Mitchell is very familiar with the Hoosier economic landscape, having led the business development team of the Indianapolis Economic Development Corporation for two years.  Following his role at the corporation, Mitchell served in various consulting roles across Michigan, Indiana, and Texas.  His career includes serving as the CEO for a regional economic development corporation, senior manager with a Big 4 accounting firm, and senior vice president of business development for a renewable energy company.

Mitchell has received numerous state and local awards for community and economic development and is a LEED Accredited Professional.  He holds a B.A. from Indiana University and a M.B.A. from Anderson University.  In his free time, he enjoys volunteering for groups focused on traditional and digital literacy efforts for all ages.  He plans to split his time between the Indianapolis and Houston, Texas offices.
