Insurance enrollment for all employees
Prepare semi-monthly payroll notes on new insurance enrollments and changes
Advise insurance providers of new enrollees and changes
Answer employee insurance questions; assist with problem claims
Prepare benefit enrollment packets/orientation for employees
Answer questions concerning leaves as relates to insurance
File short and long-term disability claims
Maintain database for certified staff on leave
Meet with potential retirees regarding benefit options upon retirement and plan retirement
recognition dinner
Administer VEBA, 457, 401(a)
Meet with providers/brokers regarding annual renewals
Federal Compliance Responsibilities:
Follow procedures for HIPAA privacy rules and maintain business associates agreements
Administer policy and procedures for FMLA
COBRA administration – Includes sending required notices, maintaining list of participants and
receiving premium payments
Section 125 – Work with American Fidelity representative to obtain annual election forms and
flex account agreements
File confidential medical information
Provide information or reports to administrators as requested
Send out required Annual notices
Administer ACA government filings and day-to-day compliance
Workers Compensation and Unemployment:
Accept and respond to queries regarding Workers Compensation and Unemployment issues,
interpreting and making judgments regarding appropriate disposition of each query.

Monitor HSE Health Care Center Operations
Implement the personal leave request procedure for days immediately prior to and after
vacations – interpreting each case of eligibility
Gather and type all information as needed for accounting to process paperwork for all certified
staff requesting class coverage credit

Maintain up-to-date Sick Bank file
Nurture a positive relationship with super-ordinates, subordinates and peers.
