The Boy Scouts of America are as strong today as ever before in Hamilton County. 72 units (Cub Scout Packs & Scouts BSA Troops) serve 3,561 youth and 1,093 adult leaders. In Spring 2019, these units participated in the Scouting For Food Campaign, which resulted in the collection of 32,000 pounds of foods and goods for local church pantries and other partners in Hamilton, Marion, and Tipton Counties. Collectively, the Scouts in Hamilton County accounted for 29,170 Community Service Hours in 2019, which is an average of over 8 hours of community service per Scout! Within those great achievements, Hamilton County Scouting also congratulated 111 Eagle Scout award recipients. We have endured many obstacles in the past several months, as many organizations have, however we are very much looking forward to the results of our Scout’s efforts and leadership to shape the culture of the future and inspire their communities as we move forward in 2020 and beyond.
