Indianapolis, Indiana, January 7, 2022 – FORUM Credit Union supports an employee nominated charity each year. In
2021, FORUM’s Charity of Choice was Coburn Place. Coburn Place serves people impacted by intimate partner
violence in the Indianapolis area. They offer transitional housing, community-based housing, well-being services, and
children’s services. These services ultimately help to break the cycle of abuse and create stronger individuals and
families.
Throughout 2021, FORUM employees participated in quarterly donation drives for the residents at Coburn Place.
Donations included crockpots, blenders, non-perishable foods, trashcans, air mattresses, toilet paper, Thanksgiving
meal kits, and more. From these drives, approximately $12,859 in necessary items were donated to survivors.
In addition to donation drives, FORUM employees also raised money through “jean’s day” contributions and
auctions. FORUM was able to provide $12,000 to cover operating expenses and $7,685 for grocery/gas gift cards and
bus passes for residents. “The support provided by FORUM this year has been something truly special and rare. We
cannot thank you enough for the numerous ways you’ve provided for survivors,” said Drew LaCroix, Volunteer and
Resource Coordinator for Coburn Place.
After taking an all employee vote in December, FORUM announced its 2022 Charity of Choice is Dayspring Center in
Indianapolis. Dayspring Center assists homeless families with children in central Indiana through shelter, food,
clothing, and resources. They also empower their residents to become independent, self-supportive families again.
Dayspring assisted over 150 families last year and helped 70% of residents move into permanent housing.
FORUM employees are excited to continue serving the local community by partnering with Dayspring Center in 2022.
