Music is an inherent and vital part of the human story. Music connects, inspires, motivates, heals, teaches, and soothes.
Resounding Joy, a music therapy nonprofit that has recently established a location in Hamilton County, enhances the human experience with therapeutic applications of music through three main programs: – Semper Sound enhances the quality of life and resiliency for military connected families, veterans, and service members through music instruction and music therapy. – Healing Notes uses music therapy to improve the cognitive, physical, psychological and social well-being of children facing severe, complex, or chronic healthcare issues, and their families, in a variety of settings. – Community Connections provides supportive music programs for the community, including: individuals recovering from addiction, people experiencing homelessness, youth in challenging circumstances, survivors processing trauma, first responders managing stress, community groups developing wellness and self-care, corporate wellness to enhance company culture and decrease turnover, and music-related volunteer opportunities for children and adults wanting to make a difference in the lives of isolated older adults.
